I spent yesterday morning and afternoon in bed with cramps, using my phone to google HCG and periods. Here is a link to the BEST message board with dozens of first hand accounts of getting your period while using HCG. It turns out that the intense menstrual cramps are common on HCG, as well as getting it earlier, or later, or longer or shorter than normal.
The literature that comes with the drops says not to take them on the heavy days of your period, so yesterday I skipped the drops. NOT a good idea. I ate all my normal diet food, but after dinner, when I am normally stuffed, I was not satisfied AT ALL. I ate my apple for dessert and still wanted more.
I knew that if I stayed in last night I would be all sad and mopey, because guys are assholes, so I ended up going out with a friend. I decided ahead of time that her and I would be splitting a bottle of wine, because I needed to get tipsy. I brought a bag of apple chips with me, just in case I felt the urge to eat something. I was good throughout the night, but on my way home I inhaled the bag of chips. So between the extra apple and the 2 glasses of wine I had an extra 240 calories yesterday. Not good, but whatever, it’s better than sitting home crying all night. We’ll see how it plays out on the scale during the week.
